Making Great Communities Happen

LONG RANGE PLANNING PROJECTS

With the downturn in the economy, we’re seeing a lot of our members migrating out of development review and into long range planning. There is probably no better time for us and our communities to update or prepare new general plan elements, engage in visioning exercises or push area specific plans forward in anticipation of a recovery in the real estate market. And thankfully, agency budgets are allowing this type of programming to flourish.

The table below shows responses to our informal telephone survey to area Planning Directors concerning their pending and future long range plans. As you can see, every agency in the Central Coast is making great plans! We’ll continue to follow up with area agencies and track progress on these ambitious programs. For your convenience, you can download a pdf version of the table here >>
