Making Great Communities Happen
NATIONALFederal Policy &Program Briefing: September 18-19 Planner's Day: September 20 Register NOW
THIS YEAR'S CONFERENCE HAS GONE MOBILE!
In an effort to continue California APA's commitment to sustainability, advancement of new technology and tools, and to support improved networking opportunities for planners and other professionals; we have created a mobile application that can be used during this year's conference! If you have an iPhone, Blackberry, Android operating system phone, Windows 7 or other smart phone, you have access to conference information on your mobile device. iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users can download the conference mobile application by searching for "APA Conference" in the Apple iTunes App Store. For Blackberry, Droid and other browser- enabled mobile phones, you can access the conference mobile app by typing in the following web address in your mobile phone browser: http://calapa2011.gatherdigital.com With the conference mobile app you can get the entire conference schedule including a full list of attendees, speakers, maps, and session details; create your own personalized MySchedule containing events, mobile workshops, and sessions that you wish to attend; complete your AICP evaluation survey; and, receive updates and news from the Conference Host Committee - all in the palm of your hand! Once you have the app up and running, you'll notice a stream of conference related twitter posts. If you'd like to participate in the twitter conversation (or picture sharing), be sure to include the hashtag #APACA2011 or @CentralCoastAPA in each tweet! All of the tweets will be displayed on the app and at various events throughout the conference! Don't have a smart phone? Don't worry, we'll still have a (smaller) printed conference program and an online version with all the information you'll need to get the most out of this year's conference! We'll also have a kiosk computer available for you to view the online program, fill out your AICP evaluation survey, and upload speaker presentations. STAY CONNECTED: Central Coast APA via LinkedIn
In order to reach our membership more effectively, we have set up a group discussion board at LinkedIn. We encourage you to sign up and join our group so that we can keep you abreast of issues and pending policy changes at the federal, state and local levels. Our LinkedIn email updates and discussion board have facilitated ongoing communication and dialog amongst members. Please -do- join us so that you can receive the most up to date chapter information and event notices. The best part is that LinkedIn will also give you the opportunity to keep us all posted on what is happening in your neck of the woods. Join here >>
