Ventura, a nationally-recognized leader in smart growth, has adopted form-based codes for 6 key areas of the city. Course instructors and guest speakers draw upon Ventura’s rich experience in writing and implementing FBCs (Form Based Codes).

Instructors
Led by three national experts who have created and implemented successful FBCs, this course gives comprehensive knowledge combined with hands-on experience.
Dan Parolek, a Berkeley-based architect, has written the “handbook” of FBCs.
Geoffrey Ferrell, author of the Columbia Pike FBC in Arlington, VA, and many others.
Kaizer Rangwala, award-winning planner prepared and implemented the Ventura FBCs.

Pricing

The registration fee for this two-day course is $750/person for those from private companies ($700 for two or more attendees), and $700/person for public/nonpro?t sectors and students ($650 for two or more attendees). Registration includes two-day training, continental breakfasts and lunches, course materials and evening reception on Feb. 18.
